Overview

COOKING UP THE FUTURE - Dive into the tasty journey from grandma's kitchen secrets to the future of food tech, all live and in person!

THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL TECH CONFERENCE.'

It is a conversation about where Canadian-Italian food heritage meets the future of the food industry and what that means for entrepreneurs, producers, restaurateurs and innovators in Ottawa and beyond.

WHY THIS. WHY NOW.

The food industry is changing faster than most people realize. And the businesses, organizations and professionals that engage with that change early will be the ones shaping what comes next.

On behalf of CIBPA Ottawa, AIoT Canada and the Canadian Chamber in Italy, we are pleased to invite you to From Nonna's Recipes to Food 4.0: Cooking Up the Future, a half-day event bringing together food industry leaders, technologists, researchers and entrepreneurs for an honest and forward-looking conversation about the future of food.

What to expect

A curated lineup of speakers will share short presentations on topics spanning precision agriculture, supply chain innovation, sustainability, food marketing and Canadian-Italian food entrepreneurship. Their presentations will be followed by a moderated panel discussion, with time for audience questions, and a networking reception with food and refreshments to close the afternoon.

Our speakers include:

Abigail Van Riesen, PhD — Regional Innovation Director, Canadian Food Innovation Network
