For 65 years, the Canadian-Italian Business and Professional Association of Ottawa has been investing in the next generation. The Blue Sapphire Scholarship Gala is our flagship annual celebration, and this milestone edition marks six and a half decades of academic scholarships awarded to outstanding students from our community.

Since its founding, CIBPA Ottawa has been committed to supporting higher education as a cornerstone of community strength. Through the scholarship fund, the Association has recognized and supported students who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and a commitment to carrying forward the values that have defined the Canadian-Italian community in Ottawa.

Over the decades, the fund has helped many students pursue post-secondary education, representing the collective pride of a community that has always believed in the power of education to open doors and build futures.

The 65th Gala will also be a night to honour those who have shaped our community. The evening will include recognition of distinguished community leaders whose contributions have left a lasting mark on the Canadian-Italian community in Ottawa, as well as a tribute to past presidents of CIBPA Ottawa, whose vision and dedication built the Association into what it is today.
